Carlin out with season ending injury

posted Oct 3, 2011, 8:32 AM by Ben Combs

As many of you know Lou Carlin pulled a groin muscle in his first clay match of the season and it is now apparent that he is out for the season.  His partner Scott Pfeiffer was coming from the Bay Area to play with him in this league and without Lou has no reason to make the trip.  So, we are in need of an alternate team to fill in and play the balance of the 4 matches in Division B.  Let me know if you have any takers.  I hear Dave Kuhn is open to the idea but I have not heard from him.  Bobby Reynolds, are you out there, maybe Rugan?

Let me know if you have anyone interested in filling in, the fee has already been paid courtesy of Lou Carlin.

ON another note, THERE IS ONLY ONE WEEK LEFT TO MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF 2 COMPLETED MATCHES by October 8th.  Let me know if there is any risk of you not meeting this requirement.  It has been a good rule, lots of matches completed and it has already created some buzz.

Also, the Rely Aid Natomas Challenger Main Draw begins today with a 5pm Match featuring Jack Sock (USA) vs. James Ward (GBR).  Or, if you can get there by 10am you can see a final of the qualifying round between  Jamie Baker (GBR) vs. Blake Strode (USA), that should be an entertaining singles match.  I had dinner with this very charismatic young Brit on Friday night and looking forward to seeing him play.
