With a win over Bryan Paveglio and Steve Scurfield 6-4, 7-6 Todd Stanley and Chris Gerety earn their first Clay Court League finals spot.  The first year team who have played together for 30 years struggled at times against the clay court veterans but came out ahead in a close tiebreaker in the second set.  Just a few points before the tiebreaker win, Gerety donated a racquet to the wall of shame with a simple wrist flick of the racquet at the ground after missing a volley.  The 2 hour match was full of so many great volley's, lobs, rundowns, and returns.  The teams may face each other again if Paveglio and Scurfield can get past the winner of the winner of the Hardern/Chirella vs. Evers/Hags match that will be played Monday Night on the Combs Court.  The semi final between these teams will be on Saturday November 1st.
